A Note from Diana
_Hippie Garden Chick is just that. It is my opportunity
to share my gardening experiences; its joys and its sorrows, all the while letting go of fears and inhibitions regardless of the possibility of failure. I've always been a firm believer that gardening is a never
ending learning experience. I'll never know everything there is to know
about gardening and don't want to. Knowing it all would take all the
joy out of it. I've had more than my fair share of gardening failures,
but it's the all successes that keep me digging in the dirt. Gardening
has become a true therapy for me over the years. It helps to soothe the
arthritis in my knee, the pinched nerve in my lower back, and the aches
and pains of every day life.
It is my wish that this site will encourage those that have never gardened and those who garden but don't feel they are very good at it to take the leap into Mother Nature's world. I also hope that experienced gardeners will be inspired to try something in their yards they've never done before. I especially hope that those of you that have no desire to even pick up a shovel or pull a weed will reach an understanding about gardening addicts like me. We may seem like a strange breed (in my case I really am), but we are all still people. We’re people trying to make a difference by growing good food and bringing beauty back to the world that has been destroyed over the years in the name of progress.
So there you have it: my mission statement to you, a piece of my heart and soul. Regardless of your gardening experience, I hope all of you will find something here that keeps you coming back for more.
